The IPO is an annual philosophy competition for high school students worldwide, organized under the auspices of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies (FISP) and supported by UNESCO. It aims to promote philosophical education at the secondary school level and increase students' interest in philosophy. Participants write a philosophical essay on one of four topics in a language other than their own, with a 4-hour time limit.
